On November 30, 2021, the first group of LCL cargo, as part of the container train, was sent from the Almaty Station of Keden Transportation Services Co., Ltd. to Xi'an, China.
The main feature of LCL service is that the shipper does not need to book the entire container, but only needs to book a part of it. This 40-foot container contains the goods of three Kazakh companies. The collection box will arrive at the destination within 10 days. The organizers of this shipment are KTZ Express JSC (Kazakhstan Railway Express Company) and QazTrade (Kazakhstan Trade Policy Development Center QazTrade).
According to Yeerlan, head of KTZ Express-Yuzhny branch, container group transportation is very convenient for small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises that send small batches of goods.
He said that the company's projects provide stable and regular services for small and medium-sized export enterprises in Kazakhstan and deliver goods to Chinese buyers at competitive prices.
Ali Buick, director of the logistics department of QazTrade, believes that LCL transportation can help shippers reduce the delivery cost: transport the goods needed by exporters without overpaying.
